Highways England has awarded a new Specialist Professional and Technical Services (SPaTS) framework valued at up to £300m over four years.
The SPaTS2 framework replaces part of the first SPaTS framework as it reaches the end of its lifecycle.
It will provide specialist technical engineering and procurement advice to help Highways England deliver the £27.4bn Road Investment Strategy programme 2020-2025 (RIS 2).
A Highways England spokesperson said: ‘This framework will provide us with the specialist services we need to help us deliver a £27.4bn investment in the strategic road network during road period 2.
'It will help to ensure safer, smoother and more reliable journeys to the four million users that rely on our roads each day.’

Highways England will shortly be advertising a tender for a Commercial and Project Management Services Framework to replace other parts of the original SPaTS framework.
