Global engineering and design consultancy Ramboll has appointed Ann Gordon (pictured) as market director for transport in the UK and Ireland.
Ms Gordon has been with Ramboll for 20 years and was previously project director in the transport project management team and masterplanning market lead.
She started with the firm as a graduate, and has worked on projects across the world in Europe, America and the Middle East, including some of Ramboll’s highest profile UK projects such as HS2 and digital rail.
Ramboll said that in her new role, a 'key areas of focus will be driving a nature positive approach to sustainable transport'.
Her remit will centre on developing holistic, sustainable and resilient transport, delivering major structures and critical infrastructure to support sustainable development across cities, airports, ports and highways.
Ms Gordon said: 'I’m looking forward to driving collaboration across Ramboll to bring holistic, sustainable, and innovative solutions to our clients. Empowering others has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career so far and I’m very pleased to have the opportunity to build on that even further in this new role.'
