The Highways Maintenance Efficiency Programme (HMEP) has released an updated version of the Potholes Review.
The follow-up report explains how the original recommendations made in the potholes review are starting to be embedded by the sector and what further action is needed.
It is a response to the original potholes review document published to support local highway authorities and designed to help them to manage the increase in the number of potholes on the highway network.
HMEP is a sector-led transformation programme designed to maximise returns from highways investment and deliver efficient and effective services. Aimed at the local highways sector, the programme runs to 2018 and is sponsored by the Department for Transport who are providing £6 million funding.
