Contractors chasing a highways maintenance contract for a unitary authority in Dorset worth up to £50m have an extra two weeks to prepare bids after the council put back the deadline.
Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole Council, which was created in 2019 following a local authority reorganisation in the county, advertised a term service contract in the delivery of a Transportation and general Civil Engineering programme and statutory functions for a service period of four years.
The contract can be extended twice for an additional 36 months each time and therefore up to a maximum of 10 years.
The estimated total value of the deal is £50m.
The contract notice, published last week originally gave the deadline for tenders or requests to participate as 17 February but a change notice published Monday (9 January) put this back to 2pm on Friday 3 March.
Opening of tenders will take place two weeks later, at 2pm on 17 February.
