Milton Keynes Council has started the contract race for highways maintenance work for the next seven years worth up to £200m to the winner.
The contract will cover highways maintenance, street lighting, gully cleaning, pumping stations, signs and street nameplates and some grounds maintenance.
The council has an option to extend the deal for an extra three years and the contract will start in April 2014.
Up to five firms will be invited to tender and bidders should register their interest by January 15 with:
