Essex County Council has launched a bidding process to undertake a £50m design and construction contract on the M11 Junction 7a.
The proposed M11 J7A works will comprise of a grade separated junction connected by a new overbridge, with new entry and exit slip roads to the M11. A new link road joining the M11 to the B183 in Harlow will also be included.
The plans also include widening the B183 locally to allow access to the A414.
The appointment will be based on the NEC3 Engineering Construction Contract Option A — Priced Contract with Activity Schedule, and is anticipated to be worth between £45m and £50m.
Interested parties have until 8 August to hand in tenders or requests to participate. Essex hopes to have five firms invited to tender in November.
Construction is due to start place in June 2019.
