The public sector professional buying organisation ESPO has published a contract notice for a £14m framework for highways electrical work.
The framework is divided into two lots one worth £11.2m, with price the only award criterion for Lot 1 for highway electrical connections on DNO/IDNOs networks (contestable works) works provided by independent connection providers.
Lot 2 covers connections on DNO/IDNOs networks on privately-owned networks and minor installation works, and rice is not the only award criterion.
Tenders can be submitted for one or both lots.
'The framework will also cover minor installation works and fault finding on private cables. All suppliers must be accredited under the National Electricity Registration Scheme (NERS) presently operated by Lloyds Register,' the contract notice states.
