Contractors have only a month left to express interest in a mammoth £1.95bn term maintenance contract with Hertfordshire.
The contract will run up for a maximum of 21 years, with an initial minimum term of seven followed by optional extension periods.
Hertfordshire County Council said it is looking to put in place 'a new, flexible, and collaborative arrangement to facilitate successful delivery'.
The contract with its incumbent contractor, Ringway, is due to expire in September 2025.
Organisations wishing to tender for the new deal must complete and submit a response by the deadline of 12:00 Noon on 26 February 2024.
Two rounds of pre-market engagement took place early last year. Herts has since released a contract notice to launch the formal procurement.
The contract is expected to be the NEC4 Term Service Contract (TSC) with bespoke amendments to be discussed with bidders during the negotiation stages of the procurement process.
The pricing approach is currently being developed and will also form part of discussions during the negotiation phase.
