The company will support Bolton Metropolitan Borough Council, Manchester City Council, Stockport Metropolitan Borough Council, Trafford Metropolitan Borough Council and Transport for Greater Manchester in the delivery of a variety of works including:
- Traffic schemes and network management professional services’ including traffic management design, traffic modelling and urban safety management initiatives
- Highways and highway structures’ services, including the design, contract production and site supervision of highway and highway structure schemes
- Building structures’ activity including CDM, structural inspections, structural designs and building regulation checking
- Transport related civil and structural professional advice and services’ including construction and refurbishment of interchanges, bridges and rail-related structures; bus, heavy rail and light rail projects and smarter travel options; and railway and LRT trackwork and alignment design.

By supporting the participating authorities with technical consultancy services, AECOM will help to deliver enhancements to road, cycling and public transport infrastructure through Greater Manchester’s capital programme and initiatives such as the Local Sustainable Transport Fund and Cycle Ambition.
